Sundays are traditionally a lazy day in Lusk.... taking it easy before the long week ahead. Well nobody has told Lusk AC this. Nationa Indoors Junvenile Championships

​All Ireland Schools Cross Country Championships

The All Ireland Schools Cross Country finals took place in Sligo Race Course today. Going was good to soft with a very testing climb into the finish. We had Katie Halpin from Lusk representing Skerries Community College. She finished 28th in the minor race. Some fantastic news arrived soon after when the results of the Junior race was announced. Leinster Championships

Four Lusk AC athletes travelled to Athlone to take part in the Leinster championships this weekend. In the Junior women's pole vault competition Maeve Flynn took gold with a jump of 2.60m matching the championship record. In the junior men's pole vault competition Bernard Hollands was just pipped for third place on count back. All Ireland Glory For Darren

A short time ago Darren Ryan took the Glo Health All Ireland Inter Counties Cross Country Championships Title in Tuam, Galway. This is Darren's first national title and is also the first national running title for LuskAC. According to his dad, the course was a lovely undulating course over a number of loops which sounds similar to the Ras na hEireann course he raced last weekend. Dublin “Indoors” Lusk AC success The Dublin Juvenile Indoor championships continued on (Saturday) in a bitterly cold Morton Stadium. Ras na hEireann 2016

Nine Lusk AC athletes travelled to Drogheda for the Ras na hEireann today. While it was cold, the weather remained dry and conditions under foot were perfect compared to Raheny a few weeks back. We had Adam McNally as the sole juvenile racer who used the event as a training session when he realised the massive cross country talent that took part in his race. The 40 Day Challenge Ready To Run

  We are starting a new challenge that is open to everyone in the community both members and non members. Starting on Ash Wednesday (Feb 10th) we will run the ring road at 6am every morning until Easter Sunday. The route will start at Lusk National School 6am and proceed to Skerries Roundabout for 6.05am, Rush Roundabout 6.10am, Dublin Roundabout 6.15am, Centra Dun Emer 6.20am, Round Towers GAA 6.30am. Update: St Stephen’s Day Charity Fun Run
