Following on from our Nutrition evening we recently then had further discussions with Wellness Weight Management.
Nutrition in athletics is very important so we agreed that Wellness Weight Management should advise on the nutritional aspect for Lusk AC.
Wellness Weight Management have agreed that for every member of Lusk AC attending the clinic, they will donate €1 from the cost directly to Lusk AC.

Late last week we took delivery of new sports equipment for the use of everyone in the club. With the rapid growth in numbers attending our club coupled with wear and tear of our existing equipment a full stock take was carried out and a list of new requirements was drawn up. To keep costs to members as low as possible a fundraising committee was setup and moneys raised went directly into the purchase of the new items.

We had an excellent morning for the Fun Run in Lusk on Saturday April 23rd. While this was not an event organised by Lusk AC, many of the members willingly volunteered to Marshall and took part in the event. Indeed there were visitors from Duleek & District Athletic Club, Star of the Sea AC, Balbriggan Roadrunners, St. Pats GAA Stamullen and other clubs not associated with athletics in the region of North Dublin and East Meath.

We are starting a new challenge that is open to everyone in the community both members and non members. Starting on Ash Wednesday (Feb 10th) we will run the ring road at 6am every morning until Easter Sunday. The route will start at Lusk National School 6am and proceed to Skerries Roundabout for 6.05am, Rush Roundabout 6.10am, Dublin Roundabout 6.15am, Centra Dun Emer 6.20am, Round Towers GAA 6.30am.

I would like to say a big thanks to everyone who braved the weather conditions on St Stephen's Day morning for the charity run, jog, walk and cycle for Action Ireland Trusts 2016 Lesotho project.
There was in excess of €650 raised and I would like to thank Lusk Athletic Club for nominating Action Ireland Trust for this year's Charity.
We are holding our annual St Stephen's Day Charity Fun Run at 11am from Lusk NS. It will involve completing all or part of the ring road. No entry fee is required however we are asking for a donation at the start. The event is open to all the family.
