Charity Christmas Fun Run!

As mentioned in previous newsletters we are holding our annual Charity Christmas Fun Run on St Stephen’s Day at 11am from Lusk NS. It will involve completing all or part of the ring road. No entry fee is required however we are asking for a donation at the start. The event is open to all the family. National Cross Country League Uneven Age Championships

Today in Dungarvan it was a case of the day after the day before or really the last three days of rain where the ground underfoot was not ideal at all (see photo below) for any type of running never mind a National Cross Country Championships. But that did not deter JD Kelly (U11 Boys) who ran in his first national today and had a super race in these harsh conditions to finish 116 out of a field of 168. Dublin Masters Cross Country

The date for the Dublin Masters Cross Country is probably moving to Sunday 10th January. It will probably be held in St Anne’s Park, Raheny. An athlete becomes a Master on his/her 35th birthday. The distance for Women is 3000m and for Men is 6000m. We are hoping to enter as many teams as possible. Can all those interested please let Eamon Caffrey know as soon as possible? Thank you. More

Assistant coaches course

Athletcs Ireland are running an Assistant Coaches Course in Navan Track, Co. Meath on Saturday 25th April 2015. Our children’s officers

Last night Rodrigo Lara and Iseult Mc Closkey took part in Athletics Ireland Children's officer course with officers from other clubs. Congratulations everyone. LuskAC will be hosting a child welfare course in April. Everyone involved in the operation of our club must attend unless previously attended. This is a requirement to make us compliant with the law and with our application for the club mark. More
