Important Notice – Feedback needed

The objective of this exercise is to get global feedback to help us grow and improve the club going forward.

As some people did not have time to fill in the questions we had on the wall last Tuesday night we have set-up an on-line survey – please find the link on our Facebook page. This will only take a few minutes to complete.

For anyone that cannot access the link please PM or e-mail LuskACPro@gmail.com and we will send on the questions. Your feedback is important and will be anonymous. It will be collated into one formal document for discussion.

Thank you.

Members Meeting Tue 15th September

Reminder:  Lusk AC is a club that only exists because of its members and volunteers. For this reason we want to find out what your views of the club and its performance are.  After training on Tuesday 15th September at 8.15pm we will have a meeting that will only last an hour.

Following on from the survey and from the four questions posted on the wall we will then spend 10 minutes on each question to get clarifications on the comments.

The committee will review the comments over a period of time and where possible implement changes to the way the club operates.

We want as many members and parents to express their views. If you are unable to attend the meeting please come into the school earlier in the evening and place your comments or please do it online.

Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Seminar

The club was delighted to have two of our coaches at the Dolmen Hotel in Carlow today for a day of seminars and workshops to bring back new techniques to the club.

There was an array of experienced medical personnel from all over the world taking part, alongside world famous athletes. The objective of the seminars was to learn how to become a faster and better athlete, improving in all areas of speed, agility and strength.

Some of the stars on the day were medal winners and title holders Blanka Vlasic, Tori Bowie, Curtis Mitchell, Leshaun Merritt, David Oliver, Novaleen Williams and Brenda Martinez along with many other Irish athletes and GAA stars.

In an on-going basis the club are improving coaching techniques and staying abreast of new ideas. The coaches are eager to now pass on all they have learned over the weekend.

The club would also like to remind you that if you have an interest in coaching please speak with any of the coaches. Full support, training and guidance are on hand.

Hell & Back

Congratulants to Eamon McBride who completed another Hell & Back over the weekend. It was a slippy one by all accounts!

EOI Races

It’s getting close – A reminder for the EOI Marathons in Longwood, Co Meath on September 26th. They are running a full and half marathon plus a 20 mile race.

For the masters training for the Dublin City Marathon the 20-mile race would be ideal preparation.
