National Track and Field Championships 2016

AdamA HUGELY SUCCESSFUL AND MEMORABLE DAY IN LUSK AC.
Sometimes this club blows you away with the achievement of its top athletes in competition. And for others the achievement of completing a distance race for the first time leaves you speechless knowing the effort they put in.
Seamus sent an email to the Junior athletes earlier this evening but I think the words go for everyone today. I hope you don’t mind the copy Seamus.

“A huge well done to all those who competed this week in whatever event you attended.

The Graded meetings, the Morton Games, the Fingal 10k and the National Track and Field championships are where the best stand up, expose themselves to the crowd and ultimately show that they have the speed, strength and ability to be recognised as outstanding people. Whether you won, lost or or just took part;

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts – Winston Churchill.

As our season draws to a close there are just a couple more AAI related events to keep in mind:
Wednesday 3rd August – Graded meeting, Tallaght. 400m, 3000m, Longjump, PV, Discus, Shot.
21st August – AAI National Masters Track & Field. Closing date for entries is 12th August.”
